After years of practicing the art of meditation, Chef Jay learned that meditation leads to humility, which ultimately leads to serving another better. With this understanding, Chef Jay applied the same mindset to his cooking, such that he could take the spirit of service and dedication to a new level.

 

It was through consistent practice in fusing eastern Zen culture with western culture across both food and meditation, that Chef Jay was dubbed the Meditating Chef by many of his clients, colleagues and peers. It was from this that The Meditating Chef & Co was born, a unique offering of organic cuisine and mixology services.

 

Chef Jay’s long time friend, meditation and business partner Colbert Saint Laurent has dedicated his time to mastering the art of mixology and is known as The Alchemist. Colbert works alongside Chef Jay in teaching meditation and also delivering humble service and offering exotic liquid libations such as juices, cocktails and mocktails.

 

The Meditating Chef & Co is a personalized private chef service, we can serve anyone from one to 1000 people. We can come to your home, or if you prefer we can rent or create spaces for you (so you don’t have to mess-up your home). We also offer a door-to-door service, similar to catering, where we drop off the food to you hot and ready for your enjoyment. The variety of fare we can bring is open to your imagination, from three-course dinners, to single courses, to desserts, cocktail mixers, juices and more.

 

In addition to a unique private chef experience we also offer one of a kind meditation classes where we can guide you or a group into a meditation before or after your dining experience. Through deep breathing exercises, soothing relaxing music, universal chanting and guided direction we create a blissful, relaxing, stress free, soothing and truly unique experience for you and your guests.
